Junior researcher – MEng in Civil Engineering, Expert in water distribution systems modelling and water resources management
Mr. Nikos Pelekanos is a Junior Researcher Civil Engineer.
He received his MEng in Civil Engineering (5-year studies Integrated Master) from the National Technical University of Athens in 2020, with a specialization in the field of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering.
Today he participates in research projects, as an early-career researcher, under the supervision of Dr. C. Makropoulos in the Department of Water Resources and Environment of the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA.
His research interests are concentrated in the field of water-energy systems, stochastics and machine learning algorithms.
Expert in water distribution systems hydraulic and water-quality modeling (EPANET, EPANET-MSX), rainfall-runoff modelling and flood control; strong IT skills (programming level); Member of Technical Chamber of Greece; Author of two journal papers and two conference publications.
